Annual Show

The coaches at the club have been busy over the October holidays planning training sessions and what to do for our Christmas Show. Preparations were started before the holidays and now that we’re back, practising will begin in earnest.

Extra Coaches

Over the past few months some of our older members have stopped their training but have kindly offered to help coach our younger members, this will be a great help to the coaches. Some of our gymnasts’ mums have also offered a hand and have been learning the basics of coaching over the past few weeks. If anyone is interested in helping at the club please let any of the coaches know. We are always keen to get new helpers because there can never be too many helping out when it comes to gymnastics!

Equipment

 Over the coming months the club funds will be boosted by the monthly fees and new equipment is being looked at to see which will be of most benefit to the club. Since the summer we have acquired a beam but we are having problems with one of the legs and at this moment we are trying to get it fixed. Hopefully this will be complete in the near future and the girls can start training on the high beam.

Leotards

Since returning after the holidays the coaches have been busy recycling their leotards. We are pooling together all our extra leotards for our new members. If there are any gymnasts who are finding that their leotards are a getting too small let a coach know and a bigger one will be given to you.

 Show

 This year’s show will be held at the beginning of December and may run for two nights depending upon the availability of the High School. Over the last few years our show has proved extremely popular with the audience always enjoying the performances. Each gymnast takes part in one "sketch" and then everyone joins in our finale. The gymnasts will start practising for this on our return from the October holidays.
