CAITHNESS AMATEUR GYMNASTICS CLUB

Our club was originally formed in the 1970’s but coaches came and went and then in the early 1990’s was re-formed by Anne and Alastair Kennedy. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and now caters for over 100 children from all over Caithness. Anne and Alastair have since moved away but still remain connected to the club as Honorary Presidents. The club teaches gymnastics to any child who is at school (4/5) and will continue teaching them until they themselves decide to stop (our oldest member is 17). We cater for all different levels of ability and our main aim at the club is to teach gymnastics to everyone who enjoys the sport and has fun in the gym. Over the past 10 years the club has grown in stature to one of the most popular clubs in the county with children attending from all over Caithness

We are on the whole a General Gymnastics Club, which means that most of our gymnasts do not compete. However, our Development, Advanced and Senior Squads do train to competition level and these gymnasts do go away and represent the club.
